Spring Equinox 2019 Altar

Allowing space for you to see, hear, and feel what comes up for you while sitting with this altar is what Kim Duckett names as our "Altar Psychology". Perhaps keep in mind and heart what and how your winter has been and what parts are still lingering as the Wheel turns toward Spring Equinox. Holding this intention, I have included information about the symbol rising up from the dirt and have not provided any more details of her conception. My hope is that she will be a divination brought specifically to you and the feeling of choosing a tarot card from Her Winter into Spring deck.
Enjoy!

Blessed Be,

Seasonal Salon Spring Equinox 2019 altar

The figure folding Her arms around what’s stirring underground, is made with baking soda, salt, rock salts and white glitter. Eagle feathers Kevyn gifted Tribas drape down Her arms and caress the empty nests. Top soil is used for the underground with several birds nest placed around the symbol rising up from the ground which is made of river sand. This symbol is the one decorating a stone basin found in the recess at Knowth. Max Dashu describes this basin as a “sunken hollow, looking like a symbolic womb. It is here that people laid the remains for regeneration. They would be pushed aside to make room for newer cremations.” An orange tulip begins to blossom underneath a crescent moon and the constellation Pleiades which is glitter of different colors. This altar lies on a black cloth in the center of the temple room.

Barb Lutz/Tribas’s altars and shamanic creation of sacred space and ritual has garnered her praise and an honored position in the RCG-I’s Goddess community. Through her Art and her Guardian Heart, she serves Her, as she co-creates “A Year and a Day Sacred Mystery School for Women (Asheville, NC) and travels the country co-presenting “The Wheel of the Year as a Spiritual Psychology for Women,” with her Priestess, Kim Duckett.
